Windows 10

If you upgraded your computer to Windows 10 and later decided that you do not like it, you can return the PC to your operating system. How you remove Windows 10 depends on how much time has passed since you changed that time. If it's within 10 days, there's a backup option that makes it easy to get back to Windows 8.1 or Windows 7. This is a bit more complicated if it is longer than that or the installation is clean and not upgraded.

Take appropriate precautions

Before you downgrade to Windows 7 or back to Windows 8.1, you need to back up all your personal data on your Windows 10 machine. Remember whether or not this data can be restored during the editing process is not necessary; It is always better to be careful when performing such tasks.

There are several ways to backup before installing Windows 10: by manually copying your files to a physical backup device such as OneDrive, external network drive, or USB drive. Once you have reinstalled your old OS, you can restore these files to your computer. You can also use the Windows 10 backup tool if you wish, though wonder about using it as the sole backup option. While trying to restore you may run into issues with compatibility with older OS.

In addition, you may want to back up program installation files for programs that you will continue to use. Third-party applications (such as iTunes or Picasa) will not be reinstalled during the editing process. If you have downloaded these files from the Internet, the executable file may be in your Downloads folder. You can always re-download the program files, if you wish. You may also have older DVD programs, so look for them before continuing. If any of these require a product key, find it.

Finally, find the key to your Windows product; This is the key to Windows 7 or 8.1, not Windows 10. It will be in the original packaging or email. It may be on a sticker on the back of your computer. If you can't find it, consider a free product key search program.
